Responsibilities The Sales Engineer will identify, prepare and provide competitive quotes and project proposals for the supply and installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS). Position responsibilities include: * Prospect and network to bring aboard new sales opportunities. * Develop new, and maintain existing, relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, and end users. * Review specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings, site walk throughs, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. * Review bid documents for completeness, accuracy and coordination with other trades. * Work on multiple opportunities concurrently. Prepare bids/proposals/quotations, including costs, resources, time and labor. Respond to customer queries. Requirements * Minimum 1 year controls or mechanical/HVAC engineering experience. Estimating/sales or project engineering or design engineering knowledge is a plus. * Engineering, math or science degree or equivalent work experience. * Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Electronic Control Systems and HVAC. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Proactive, responsive, with outgoing and friendly manner. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Able to understand legal and construction documents. * Andover Controls / Schneider Electric / Distech product knowledge a plus. * Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite. * Able to work autonomously. Work Location * Sales location is the New York Metropolitan area. The Sales Engineer will be required in office 2 days per week at either our New York City or Glen Cove locations during training and onboarding phase. 1 day per week after training and onboarding (Thursday).
