Full description of the position

Summary: The Sales Manager specializing in carbon fiber products will present and sell these specialized products to industrial customers. They will contact potential customers, present products and services, answer questions, and discuss pricing. The Sales Manager will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, superb interpersonal skills, and specific knowledge of carbon fiber product characteristics, applications and value propositions to the customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Conducting market research and delivering market intelligence to support the company's sales strategies. * Generating qualified leads specific to carbon fiber markets. * Meeting or exceeding sales goals for carbon fiber products. * Negotiating all sales parameters with prospective clients. * Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations. * Preparing weekly and monthly reports. * Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and applications of carbon fiber. * Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs. * Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders. * Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services. * Traveling 50%+ of time. * Maintaining client records. * Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability. Qualifications: * Extensive expertise in a comprehensive range of carbon fiber products and their applications a MUST. * 5+ years experience in the carbon fiber industry required. * Relevant degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field, preferred. * Understanding of the sales process and dynamics. * A commitment to excellent customer service. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers. * Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. * Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment and Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms with prolonged period of sitting at a desk in front of a computer. The employee may occasionally climb or balance and stoop or kneel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will be in and out of the plant which is a non- climate-controlled environment.
