Job Description Used Car Manager - Empire Automotive Group GMC Buick Cadilac of Long Island City Empire is looking for a seasoned Used Car Manager to drive our pre-owned vehicle operations to the next level. Daily Responsibilities * Oversee and manage dealership inventory of used vehicles. * Review outbound emails and incoming leads via Dealer Socket. * Establish appraisal standards and conduct vehicle appraisals. * Analyze market conditions and explore new acquisition strategies. * Communicate weekly with management regarding trade-in vehicles. * Support the sales team in closing deals and fostering customer relationships. Qualifications & Expertise * Minimum three years of automotive sales experience. * Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive profitability. * Proficiency in industry software, inventory management tools, and CRM systems. * Skilled in setting unit sales and gross profit objectives. * Experience leading sales meetings, conducting training, and mentoring teams. Operational & Strategic Tasks * Conduct lot inspections to ensure vehicles are front-line ready. * Approve sales contracts and assist in finalizing deals. * Review advertising and promotional strategies with the sales team. * Prepare daily forecasts to guide operational decisions. Vehicle & Lease Management * Oversee vAuto requirements and recon updates via the Used Car Route Sheet. * Manage off-lease unit purchases and brand lease trade-ins. * Address missed trade opportunities. Pending & Appointments * Evaluate pending deliveries with trade-in vehicles. * Confirm daily appointments and follow up on previous day no-shows. Customer Interaction & Follow-ups * Conduct unsold follow-ups, reviewing fresh ups, phone leads, and email inquiries. * Monitor inbound and outbound calls via Car Wars. * Coordinate with BDC for customer communication. Utilization & Logs * Ensure proper Auto Packet utilization via email and showroom processes. * Review disk logs against Crowe, Phone Log, and F12 Deals. * Maintain oversight of dealer websites and customer sourcing during desking. * Manage folder organization and key tracking.
