Full description of the position

The Sr Director of Account Management is a critical role within the Commercial Team. The Director will be charged with ensuring that each customer takes full advantage of our products and solutions driving an increase in customer orders and will have specific sales targets for each customer to grow recurring business. Will work cross-functionally with internal groups as needed to help with cross-selling products and drive revenue. Will also support on-time delivery to customers and resolve order or customer issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Manages the Account Management team and works closely with the Commercial Sales team who consults with current and prospective customers- to introduce and sell new products, maintain and improve service levels, ascertain ongoing service level satisfaction, and reinforce marketing initiatives. * Works with and mentors Account Management team and sales support to develop relevant and solution-oriented business plans and strategies customized for each customer. * Reviews booking and revenue reports pertaining to key accounts on a regular basis; be aware of performance to goals; monitor key performance indicators within assigned accounts. * Oversees stakeholder mapping for customer accounts; assigns team to appropriate accounts. * Ensures team is scheduling and holding regular quarterly and annual customer meetings alongside commercial sales team. * Analyzes the ongoing business by leveraging various reporting tools, developing business and actions plans, and executing and re-evaluating accordingly. * Partners with appropriate colleagues to develop the commercial sales plan for recurring business and develop/implement tactics to accomplish growth targets. * Acts as primary contact with the customer in the absence of an available Account Manager while leveraging the technical expertise of the scientific sales team. * Manages and develops the team to effectively build broad and deep relationships with relevant stakeholders across various customer departments. * Supports the Account Managers as they work to develop an ongoing sales pipeline, developing and delivering proposals to customers. * Coaches and trains the sales team to leverage a "consultative, account management-based" selling strategy, detailing solutions to on-site scientists' other stakeholders, determining unique customer needs and requirements, and making recommendations to both prospects and customers of the various solutions offered. * Works with Account Managers to develop strategic account business plans for the achievement of sales growth and quota attainment. * Builds and sustains relationships with customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty. * Will manage his/her own assigned accounts with full responsibility to drive an increase in customer orders for said accounts.
