Position: Business Developer Location: Sterling, Virginia Job Description: Our client is growing their Northern Virginia/Washington DC marketshare and wants to hire an experienced Business Developer to sell Landscape Maintenance service agreements. As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to sell annual landscape maintenance services to Commercial properties within the defined market. This position will develop a target list of viable properties who can benefit from our clients landscape services. You will develop relationships with property managers, show them the benefits of working with our client, will work with the internal resources to develop estimates and proposals and will present to the client in order to gain their approval and signature. We are looking for annual sales of $1.5 million or more per year and therefore we need someone who is experienced with selling service agreements, is able to leverage our clients reputation in order to differentiate their services compared to the competition, can uncover and address pain points that property managers have experienced with other providers and can ultimately develop the trust with the client in order to close them on using our clients services. Qualifications: * 3-5 years in commercial landscape sales (or like-services) preferred. * Ability to present a professional image that reflects clients' expectations. * Strong knowledge of the commercial real estate market. * Grow, maintain, and leverage personal/ professional networks. * Identify potential clients and the decision-makers within targeted organizations. * Prospect for potential new clients within the market / targeted geographic area. * Set up meetings with clients/ decision-makers. * Develop a consistent sales pipeline of opportunities. * Participate in estimating and pricing services. * Prepare and execute pitches/ proposals for clients. * Handle objections by working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met. Responsibilities: * Engage in industry functions, such as association events and networking conferences. * Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and referral sources that will lead to an increase in sales opportunities. * Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators. * Grow our new targeted business pipeline and sell to new clients. * Identify and develop a rapport with new clients * Grow trust and relationships with people Compensation: Base Salary range $85,000 - $90,000 plus Commissions.
