Full description of the position

Under direct supervision, the outside salesperson represents the company by providing sales and customer service; generating sales by gathering data on customer needs and design through collaboration with residential and commercial building contractors. JOB*RESPONSIBILITIES: * Promotes, sells, and secures new accounts for the company. * Services existing accounts with the necessary products, time, and information. * Assists with the selection of products best suited to customer needs. * Prepares, coordinates, and communicates price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers/contractors. * Maintain high levels of service and quality. * Follows guidelines set forth by Ware-Butler expectations in service, quality, and sales. * Works with local & national accounts, with a focus on builder sales, to promote sales and resolve problems. * Reviews new products and stays abreast of the market. * Works with the sales manager to develop a consistent service level across service areas. * Works safely and efficiently, following all company and safety policies. * Other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous knowledge and experience in the construction industry. * Previous experience selling building materials is preferred but not required. * High efficiency in communication skills. * Efficient in all Microsoft Office products. * Ability to perform estimates and take offs. * Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. * Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability. * Ability to participate effectively as a team member. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance. * Willingness to learn the Ware-Butler way and grow with our team.
