Basic Job Functions: * Maintain the highest standards of service through professional, informative and responsive communications (written and verbal) with our internal and external customers. * Perform joist & deck estimates using estimating software program. * Develop strong partnerships with our customers. * Work with the commercial team on devising and executing a market strategy. * Develop and grow strong relationships with the local Engineering community by attending local events and gatherings. * Be willing and able to travel. * Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week when required. * The successful candidate will be located in our Vulcraft Nebraska sales office in Overland Park, KS. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: * Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, along with a general understanding of the construction process * Bachelor's degree in engineering * Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel * Able and willing to get PE once requirements have been met Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering * Experience in customer service and sales related roles * Proficiency with NuBid * Working knowledge of SAP * Willing to put in and move for future advancement opportunities Nucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - M/F/Disabled/Vets - and a drug - free workplace_
