Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers. This role involves handling cash transactions, assisting customers with product inquiries, and promoting sales through upselling techniques. Responsibilities * Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems. * Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Assist customers with product demonstrations and provide information on features and benefits. * Engage with customers to promote products and encourage upselling to enhance their shopping experience. * Maintain an organized and stocked sales floor, ensuring products are displayed attractively. * Supervise stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed. * Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment. Qualifications * Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier preferred but not required. * Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing customer experiences. * Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus but not mandatory. * Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require physical activity, such as stocking shelves.
