Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Property and Casualty Insurance License is required. They must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional image, self- motivation, and communication skills. They must have an ability to build relationships with clients. Essential Functions: * Obtain and maintain knowledge of products and coverages of insurance companies represented. * Communicate in a professional and friendly manner with clients, potential clients, co-workers, and represented insurance company employees. * Interview prospective clients, collecting information for accurate, efficient quoting and issuing of insurance policies. * Present coverage options and accurate quotes. * Issue insurance policies within each respective company's underwriting and documentation standards. * Assist clients with routine and complex policy-related inquiries, changes, and concerns. * Work with agency team to achieve sales targets. Seek out new clients and maintain relationships with existing insurance clients. * Professionally represent the credit union and insurance agency in the office as well as at off-site events. * Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times. * Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance. * Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position. * Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations. Base Expectations: * Be willing to perform any duty (beyond Essential Functions above) as assigned. * Maintain active insurance licenses in all states represented as well as meeting continuing education requirements. * Complies with insurance laws, policies, and procedures. * Interest in selling products and services based on client preferences. * Must be detail oriented, with attention to accuracy and timeliness. * Demonstrates a working knowledge of applicable Microsoft Windows applications and possesses the ability to learn new applications independently. * Maintains punctuality while adhering to the assigned work schedule. * Ability to solve problems and make decisions within responsibility level. * Provides exemplary internal customer service and fosters teamwork throughout the credit union. * Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and creatively in a high-paced, changing environment while maintaining accuracy. * Attends all required meetings unless prior approval is granted. * Complies with telephone etiquette and service standards. Working Conditions: * Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs. * Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time. * Occasional business travel may be required. * Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required. * Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
