Want to join a fast-paced industry? We are looking for a highly motivated and goal oriented individual to assist management in one of the most important jobs within the company. We are currently looking to hire an Assistant Store Manager in the Maryville/Alcoa , TN area. RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service. * Greet customers as they enter the store. * Exceed ALL customers' expectations. * Always thank the customer and ask them to come back. * Suggestive Selling is required. Sales specials, promotions Support * Develop and actively train personnel * Excellent customer service * Train and coach all new hires and challenge, enforce, motivate, direct and guide them through all aspects of the job. * Assist and learn Deli Operations for hiring and training personnel. * Be on call to handle any type of operational problems or emergencies. * Direct store employees on duties that need to be accomplished, update and evaluate duty sheets daily. Make sure employees know what is expected of them. * Assign/oversee tasks to employees based on their strengths. * Keep sales floor and cooler stocked and free of trash, coach store employees how to maintain company standards. Financials * Complete all daily/weekly paperwork including vendor invoices, price changes and gas price changes. * Maintain a neat work area, control the paperwork, be accurate and efficient. * Follow all vendor policies for receiving and returns * ALWAYS verify age when selling alcohol, cigarettes and lottery. * Ordering and Maintaining Inventory Levels. * Have good cash handling skills to maintain a balanced register operation. Asst Manager must investigate suspicious activity / error correct / void lines / refunds. * Must be proficient with all POS equipment. Communication * Maintain great communication with the office and corporate supervisors. * Must be able to communicate efficiently and respectfully with employees. * Relay situations involved with security of the store that occurred as in shoplifting, customer injuries, etc. to the office and supervisors. * Undergo regular performance reviews for proficiency and knowledge of the above job duties including regular evaluations, register operations, cash shortage amounts, void line use, error correct use, excessive absences/call outs, etc. Performance must meet Company guidelines to be considered for pay raises and/or promotions. * Benefits * 401K * Dental * Medical * Vacation Pay Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Shift: * Day shift * Evening shift * Morning shift * Night shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Maryville, TN 37801: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: * Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
