Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Used Car Manager to oversee our used vehicle department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the automotive retail market. This role involves managing inventory, negotiating deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction while driving sales performance. The Used Car Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the dealership's success by effectively communicating with staff and customers alike. Responsibilities * Manage the day-to-day operations of the used car department, ensuring efficient workflow and high levels of customer service. * Oversee inventory control, including purchasing, pricing, and merchandising of used vehicles. * Utilize software tools for tracking sales performance and inventory management. * Conduct cold calling to generate leads and follow up on potential sales opportunities. * Negotiate purchase agreements with customers to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. * Train and mentor sales staff on upselling techniques and effective communication strategies. * Analyze retail math to assess pricing strategies and sales performance metrics. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the dealership. Experience * Proven experience in automotive sales management or a similar role within a dealership environment. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Proficiency in using dealership management software and other relevant technology. * Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful deal closures. * Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and upper management. * Familiarity with retail math concepts as they relate to vehicle pricing and profitability. * Experience in inventory control processes within an automotive setting is preferred.
