You have your P &C license in the state of California You are a seasoned salesperson that already sells insurance and is looking to take your career to the next level. You have an outgoing personality, are seasoned in selling insurance and have your P&C license. You are comfortable cold calling either in person or over the phone. Networking and meeting people for the first time is enjoyable and fun. You have excellent listening skills and know how to use them. Your style is natural and genuine. Our independent insurance business has been established for over 12 years, our CEO has been in the insurance industry 15 years. We are trusted, dependable, and valuable. We rarely hire, so we are looking for the right person. Our success is based on the relationships we build within our Team, our clients, potential clients, our community and the companies we work with. We assist our clients with auto, home, and commercial insurance. We also invest our time and money by helping charities both local and abroad. As an independent insurance agency, we work for our clients, not one insurance company. Job Responsibilities: * Develop leads, build relationships, and generate new business. * You are willing to learn and be coachable. * Discover which carrier(s) will be the right fit for their needs and then sell the policies. * Once a product is sold, you will need to fill out appropriate forms and input the information into a proprietary software system. * Cultivate relationships and cross sell additional lines of insurance. Professional and Personal Skills: * High school diploma or equivalent is required. College education is a plus especially if you have taken business or sales classes or have a degree. * Proficient with Microsoft Word and a calculator * Must be computer literate. * Must have at least two years' sales experience and have been successful at it. * Must have a clean record with the DMV. * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. * Bilingual isn't required but is a plus. We are looking for Spanish as well as English. * Articulate and professional voice in person and on the phone. * Professional wardrobe. * Self-starter, go-getter, driven, independent and can handle rejection well. * Confident, energetic, enthusiastic with a sense of humor. * Possesses an enthusiastic attitude. * Reliable, trustworthy, ethical, and honest.
