Job Summary: The Inside Sales Engineer will serve as a technical sales liaison between customers and the foundry and machine shop, providing expertise in bronze casting solutions. This role involves responding to customer inquiries, preparing accurate quotes, and ensuring technical feasibility for custom casting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metal casting processes, material properties, and manufacturing requirements to support both new and existing customers. Key Responsibilities & Duties: * Engage with customers to understand their casting needs, project specifications, and technical requirements. * Prepare and provide detailed quotes based on material selection, casting complexity, and production costs. * Assist customers in selecting the appropriate bronze alloys and casting methods for their applications. * Follow up on quotes and proposals to convert inquiries into sales. * Provide post-sale project management support to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns. : * Review customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine manufacturability. * Offer recommendations on casting design, mold materials, and finishing processes to optimize quality and cost. * Work closely with the foundry's engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of customer orders. * Stay informed about bronze alloys, casting technologies, and industry trends. * Partner with the production and quality control teams to ensure customer requirements are met. * Coordinate with pattern makers, machinists, and finishing teams to ensure smooth project execution. * Identify new business opportunities. * Communicate with suppliers and vendors to gather information on raw materials, lead times, and pricing. * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and orders. * Analyze sales data and provide reports to management on market trends and sales performance. * Assist in the development of marketing materials and sales strategies specific to bronze casting applications. * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience in metal casting/manufacturing). * Experience in inside sales, technical sales, or engineering support, preferably in a foundry or metal casting environment. * Strong understanding of bronze alloys, casting processes (e.g., sand casting, centrifugal casting), and finishing techniques. * Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings, CAD files, and specifications. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and CAD software (preferred). * Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
