Full description of the position

Overview We are seeking a motivated and results-driven National Account Sales Manager to join our dynamic, boutique sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, food technology industries. Your primary focus will be on promoting our products and services while ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, particularly in outside sales, and will have the ability to manage accounts effectively. Responsibilities * Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and other marketing channels. * Conduct presentations and product demonstrations for potential clients. * Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business. * Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. * Upsell additional products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue. * Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for market penetration and growth. * Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account management in the CRM system. * Participate in tradeshows (4 to 5 events annually). * Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities. Experience * 4 to 5 years of proven experience in outside sales or direct sales is essential; experience in chemical/pharmaceutical technologies sales is a plus. * Bachelor's Degree in engineering or chemistry, or similar fields. * Familiarity with account management practices and techniques is highly desirable. * Strong skills in upselling and managing customer relationships effectively. * Previous experience in retail sales or inside sales can be beneficial. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required to succeed in this role. * Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player focused on achieving common goals.
