Full description of the position

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hotel Sales and Event Manager to oversee and coordinate various events from conception to execution. The ideal candidate is a key professional who is responsible for driving revenue by managing and coordinating sales efforts and catering events within the hotel. They will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for guest services, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role blends strategic sales initiatives with exceptional event planning to attract new clients and ensure successful guest experiences. Responsibilities: o Responsible for proactive prospecting, facilitating, and closing group and catering business opportunities. o Develop and implement sales strategies to attract corporate, group, and social clients unless otherwise directed by the Director of Sales. o Securing new accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in rooms, food & beverage, and ancillary revenues. o Build relationships with potential and existing clients through networking, site visits, and proactive communication. o Respond to inquiries, create customized proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure bookings. o Identify market trends and opportunities to target specific demographics or industries. o Group Management and Inventory from start to finish o Meet or exceed revenue goals for rooms, catering, and event spaces as specified by Director of Sales. o Monitor and manage the budget for events to ensure profitability. o Work with the Director of Sales and General Manager in reviewing budget for catering and event spaces. o Upsell additional services and amenities to enhance client experiences. o Manage event budgets, ensuring all costs are tracked and controlled effectively o Prepare marketing materials as needed o Collaborate with clients to understand their needs for meetings, banquets, conferences, and social events. Upsell catering options. o Plan, Coordinate, and execute event details such as menus, audiovisual requirements, room layouts, and timelines. o Work with hotel departments (kitchen, banquet, housekeeping) to ensure seamless event execution. o Serve as the primary point of contact during events to ensure client satisfaction. o Prepare final bills and code invoices for events and submit them timely to DOS for approval to be sent to the client or vendor. o Provide personalized service to maintain strong client relationships and drive repeat business. o Work with Director of Sales in preparing client events and ensuring successful operations. o Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and gather feedback for future improvements. o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and event details. o Create and present sales reports to hotel management as needed o Work with marketing teams to promote hotel offerings and generate leads. o Additional duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Proven experience in hotel sales, catering, or event planning. * Ability to multitask and manage multiple clients and events simultaneously. * Proficiency in sales and event management software. * Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving abilities. * Knowledge of food and beverage operations, audiovisual setups, and room configurations. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. * Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in planning and execution. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies throughout the event planning process.
