JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sales and Business Development: * With direct sales efforts, identify and solicit new accounts for small meetings and events to establish client base of corporate groups, associations, and local organizations * Develop and implement sales strategies to increase bookings for the hotel's dining outlets and meeting spaces. * Conduct proactive sales calls, site inspections, and attend networking events to generate leads, build client relationships and drive customer loyalty with existing accounts. * Conduct tours of the hotel, outlets, and banquet facilities. * Negotiate contracts with food and beverage, function space, and rental rates that meet or exceed hotel revenue goals and customer satisfaction. * Provide prompt and accurate responses to all client requests for proposals and information * Consistently meet or exceed sales goals including predetermined revenue and sales activity. * Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives. Event Coordination: * Collaborate with clients to plan, detail and execute small meetings and events, ensuring all requirements are met. * Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to deliver seamless event experiences. * Coordinate with customers on due dates for BEOs, contracts, etc. to ensure that all deadlines are met. * Work all client-related special events. Market Analysis and Reporting: * Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. * Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review. * Responsible for learning the hotel and outlets brand and strategy EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred * Previous experience in hotel sales or event coordination, preferably within the hospitality industry. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. * Always maintains a professional image through appearance and dress * Ability to work collaboratively with hotel service team in providing exceptional customer service * Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills * Strong negotiation skills and demonstrate ability to achieve sales goals * Proactive sales approach; assertive and fast paced, driven to succeed * Excellent time management skills * Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role will work a variable schedule as client events demands change, but the primary schedule will look similar to Tues-Sat 11a-7:30p with one 30-minute clocked out meal break per shift. * Understands cross team functions and ability to manage processes * Ability to build and maintain client relationships. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with sales and event management software.
