Full description of the position

Summary: Our client is a global leader in mechanically attached fasteners, installation equipment, and component solutions and they are looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to their team. The Business Development Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and directing the business development activities for OEM accounts within the datacom and telecom customers space as well as leading/guiding the engineering efforts necessary to support these business development activities. The Business Development Manager requires experience with OEM and Datacom/Telecom clients. Business Development Manager Requirements: * BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred * Preferably fluent in Mandarin * 3+ years developing Datacom/Telecom business is required * 5+ years of experience in customer relationship development and management * 5+ years of experience of proven business development at OEM customers * Demonstrated ability to develop market penetration plans and roadmaps * Proven leadership skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Travel 50%+ Business Development Manager Description: * Manage the engineering relationships and direct activities at assigned customers, for existing and new opportunities * Direct the application engineering activities within the assigned customers to sure that a tangible return on investment exists * Maintain a team approach with the Key Account Manager and Applications Engineer at assigned customers * Specifying market requirements for current and future products by bridging the gap between Business Development, Key Account Management, Operations, Engineering and Marketing * Develop account plans for major accounts that include relationship matrix and document design cycles of the major OEM's * Work closely with Marketing and the brand leaders to ensure that business development efforts are in line with the strategy * Coordinate engineering projects with the global sales and engineering teams, as appropriate * Develop customer development roadmap for his /her assigned customers that outline the implementation plan for the various products in our portfolio * Understand competitor company profiles and product line as assigned customers * Work closely with New Product Development to ensure key attributes are incorporated on potential developments of automotive focused products as well as products with cross market capability * Maintain awareness of and compliance with company policy and safety standards in performance of all job duties WHO WE ARE Choosing the Hire Road is about shared success, active and committed partnerships and relationships that last.
