Structural Materials is looking to add a fresh face to its sales team. Applicants should have at minimum a two-year degree in business, management, construction, or relatable field of study. A strong work history in sales and/or construction will be acceptable in place of formal education. Applicants should hold themselves to a professional standard as well as be self-motivated. People skills are mandatory as they will be developing new relationships as well as continue to grow existing ones. Job Responsibilities: * Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and customer relationships. * Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships. * Potential for providing support to inside and outside sales efforts by performing material take-offs from customer blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions. * Identify the best choice materials for projects. * Perform price estimates, close sales, and process orders. * Help manage the flow of materials to jobsites while coordinating with team. * Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data. * Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. * Continually updates technical knowledge by attending educational workshops. * Train alongside our current staff and be coached for excellence in your position. * Other tasks as assigned by management. Job Requirements: * Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment preferred but not required * Proficiency in using cost estimating software and tools preferred but not required * Seeking a degree in construction management, Engineering or related field preferred but not required * Ability to read a blueprint (preferred) * Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * High attention to detail and accuracy * Must be able work 4-6 Saturdays per year during busy season (spring-fall). * Must be able to work overtime during busy season (spring-fall) Benefits: * 401K * Employee discount * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Life insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment * Vacation & PTO * Paid Holidays Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Disability insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off Shift: * Day shift Work Location: In person
