Job Summary: Join Alter Behavioral Health as a Business Development Representative, where you'll play a key role in expanding our reach and impact in the behavioral health industry. In this position, you'll build and nurture relationships with referral partners, drive client growth, and promote our mission of delivering exceptional mental health treatment services. You'll collaborate closely with our leadership and clinical teams to identify new opportunities, develop strategic outreach initiatives, and represent Alter Behavioral Health at industry events and community engagements. Your efforts will directly contribute to connecting individuals and families with the life- changing care they need, making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Promote and market mental health and substance use treatment services to professionals (e.g., doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, educational consultants, treatment providers, EAP administrators) within assigned geographic communities. * Build and maintain relationships with referral sources (e.g., practitioners, hospitals, schools, sober living homes, detox programs) through regular touchpoints, including face-to-face meetings, calls, emails, and events. * Drive client growth by meeting or exceeding admission goals and call volume targets for individual contacts, group in-services, and trade show participation. * Represent the company at regional conferences, networking events, and speaking engagements, assisting in planning and executing professional workshops and seminars. * Educate referral partners on company policies and procedures to ensure smooth admissions and a positive client experience. * Utilize CRM software to track outreach activities, manage territory plans, and maintain an accurate database of referral sources, submitting weekly and monthly reports. * Collaborate with leadership, clinical staff, and admissions teams to develop strategic outreach initiatives and marketing collateral. * Manage business expenses within the assigned monthly budget, ensuring cost-effective promotion of services. * Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Business Development. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements: * High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Minimum 2-3 years of business development or admissions experience in behavioral health, mental health, or a substance abuse treatment setting is required. * Familiarity with residential treatment facility services and client needs/expectations. * Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients, families, and professionals. * Valid California Driver's License required. * Individuals in personal recovery must have a minimum of 2 years clean and sober. * Must pass a LiveScan criminal background check as required by licensing authorities. * CPR & First Aid Certification required. Regulatory & Compliance Expectations: * Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including DHCS, DSS, and Joint Commission standards. * Follow company policies on safety, confidentiality, and ethical conduct. * Participate in audits, training, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
