Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers while driving sales and maintaining an organized store environment. Your ability to connect with customers and understand their needs will contribute significantly to the overall shopping experience. Duties * Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. * Actively engage in selling products and promoting special offers to enhance sales performance. * Maintain stock levels by replenishing merchandise on the sales floor and ensuring products are organized and visually appealing. * Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and ensure accurate stock counts. * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling cash register duties. * Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or scheduling appointments. * Collaborate with team members to create a positive shopping environment, including supervising junior staff when necessary. * Perform basic math calculations for pricing, discounts, and inventory checks. Qualifications * Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting. * Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions. * Basic math skills required for handling transactions and inventory management. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine desire to assist customers. * Experience with cash registers or POS systems is advantageous but not mandatory. * Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves.
