Full description of the position
The Sales Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting and streamlining the sales function across the organization. As a key operational leader in a growing food manufacturing startup, this individual will ensure that internal systems, processes, and reporting align with business growth goals and support the sales team's performance. This role bridges the gap between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations--supporting go-to-market strategy, retail execution, and customer lifecycle management. Ideal candidates will bring a strong mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a passion for process improvement, analytics, and cross- functional collaboration. * Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Operations Management, Math, or related field * 4-6 years of experience in sales operations, key account management, preferably in CPG, food, or manufacturing environments * Strong proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Excel/Google Sheets, and sales analytics tools * Experience with trade spend management, deduction tracking, and forecasting preferred * Prior experience in a startup or growth-stage company a plus * Build, manage, and optimize systems and tools to support the sales team's success (CRM, forecasting, sales dashboards, etc.) * Monitor, analyze, and report on sales KPI's (e.g., performance, revenue, trade spend, profitability, and velocity) * Oversee customer onboarding processes, including setup, contracts, pricing approvals, and promotional planning * Collaborate with Finance to track customer deductions, trade spend, and promotional ROI * Maintain accurate and timely customer data and documentation across internal platforms * Work closely with Operations to ensure accurate forecasting, production planning, and inventory alignment * Provide administrative and analytical support for retail launches, distributor partnerships, and key account growth * Coordinate the development and implementation of new sales programs and tools * Create and maintain a sales resource library (sell sheets, pricing grids, distributor info, etc.) * Support the planning and execution of national and regional trade shows * Serve as the internal liaison for the sales team, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution with other departmentsMary's Gone Crackers
