Job description Position: Insurance Sales Location: GEICO Local Office - Salem, OR Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm About the Company: Compensation: Hourly pay range $17.00 - $20.00/hour plus potential for bonus (starting pay dependent upon experience/licensing/bilingual) The GEICO Local Office in Salem, OR is seeking a highly enthusiastic, energetic, professional who is passionate about sales and providing excellent customer service. Our small agency is expanding, and we need an eager sales agent to help drive our profitable growth. If you are a person with a knack for connecting with people, are an active listener, confident in asking for a sale, and very detail oriented then we need you on our team! This is a sales position and success is based on sales performance goals. This position is in- office, and we do not offer work from home. Primary Duties/Responsibilities * Sell and service various types of insurance policies to individuals including automobile, fire, property, or specialized policies * Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers * Provide excellent customer service to all customers which would encourage customers to seek additional policies and products with our agency Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements * Competitive spirit and a willingness to learn * Punctuality with the ability to stay and work a quote to its completion * An individual who loves working with people is a must (up to 85% of your day will be on the phone) * Strong computer skills to learn and work within multiple quoting systems / Must have a great working knowledge of smart phones with the ability to walk customers through phone, and app, settings Education/Experience: High school diploma required Certificates and Licenses: Oregon Personal Lines or Property and Casualty license Equipment: * Computer * Phone Language Ability: Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Google, Windows, smart phone/app settings, and proprietary software Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, bend, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
