Position Overview We're looking for an experienced Title Agent to fully manage our Maryland title operations. This is a self-managed role requiring deep knowledge of the Maryland title process from start to finish. The right candidate must be able to handle all aspects of Maryland transactions independently and be willing to obtain a Delaware title license (company will assist). This position is based in our North East, MD office , with occasional collaboration with our Kennett Square, PA office. Key Responsibilities * Full Maryland Title Management - Handle the entire closing process for Maryland transactions, from file intake to post-closing , ensuring compliance with all regulations. * Conduct Settlements - Manage closings, review title commitments, resolve title issues, and prepare final documents. * Clear Title Issues - Identify and resolve any title defects or issues without oversight. * Client & Agent Relations - Serve as the primary point of contact for Maryland transactions, building strong relationships with agents, lenders, and clients. * SoftPro Proficiency - Utilize SoftPro (or similar software) for preparing documents and managing workflow. * Post-Closing Responsibilities - Handle recording, funding, and policy issuance for Maryland transactions. * Business Development - Work with leadership to help expand our presence in Maryland and Delaware. Qualifications Maryland Title License required - Must have extensive experience managing Maryland transactions. Delaware License preferred or willingness to obtain it (company will assist). Extensive experience in Maryland title work - This is NOT a training role ; we need someone who can fully self-manage. Strong problem-solving skills - Must be able to clear title issues independently. Proficiency in SoftPro (or similar title software). Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional, friendly demeanor. Self-Starter - Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
