Full description of the position

We are seeking a passionate, results-driven sales leader with a proven track record to join our team as the Director of Sales at Springhill Suites by Marriott Kansas City/Overland Park . The ideal candidate will thrive on achieving excellence, delivering outstanding hospitality, and driving sales performance. Key Responsibilities: * Sales Leadership: Lead and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets. * Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. * Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends. * Sales Strategies: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth. * Community Engagement: Actively engage with the local community to promote the hotel and generate business. * Brand Standards: Ensure consistency and adherence to IHG brand standards in all sales activities. * Reporting: Provide accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and budget information. * Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. Requirements: * Experience: Minimum 1 year in a sales leadership role within the hotel industry. * Community Engagement: Strong involvement in local sales and community activities. * Communication: Positive and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills. * Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. * Technical Skills: Competence in Word and Excel; ability to create and manage sales reports and forecasts. * Flexibility: Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
