Please Read before Online Interview: Local Farmers Market Sales Associate in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. (and Philadelphia this year) Requirements: 1) Driving licence and 2) Have a vehicle (SUV or sedan) Our regular Farmers Market booth consists of a standard folding table (6ft), two small tables, a 10x10 tent, and approximately 6-8 medium-sized boxes. Therefore, this setup fits in mid-sized vehicles. Our farm is located in Ellicott City. On certain days, you may need to pick up the products from the farm. Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Salesperson to join our team at the Farmers Market locations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for handmade lavender products (candles, soap bars, pillow sprays, dried flowers) excellent customer service skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse community of customers. This role involves direct sales, customer interaction, and the setup and breakdown of our market stall. Key Responsibilities: * Customer Service: Greet and engage with customers, providing a friendly and informative shopping experience. Answer questions about products. * Sales: Promote and sell homemade goods, and other products. Handle cash and electronic payments accurately (we will train our staff for getting electronic payments) * Stall Setup and Breakdown: Setup and breakdown of the market stall, ensuring an attractive and organized presentation of products. * Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Our standard salary is $20 per hour. Regular Farmers Market hours are 4 hours. We also provide 1 hour of travel pay for each Farmers Market. Therefore, the minimum base salary for a Farmers Market day is $100. Bonus: For sales over $300, we offer bonus payment (+$10). For sales over $400, we provide an additional bonus payment (+$10); $500, we provide an additional bonus payment (+$10). Join our team...
