Full description of the position

REMOTE-LOS ANGELES TERRITORY JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an exceptional sales professional with a verifiable record of successfully building and developing a sales territory. With aggressive goals and ambitions within the state and the industry, we're looking for someone who enjoys building great relationships established on trust and integrity along with exceptional communication and follow through. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES * Actively prospect new business through direct contact with retail buyers and their management teams. * Follows up on existing accounts and leads * Provides in person product education and demonstrations. * Positively represent products at retailer and consumer events. * Educates budtenders on brands by leading in store staff training. * Attends and works marketing and trade show events as needed. * Submits weekly activity report and tracker to Sales Manager. * Visits stores on a regular basis to develop strong relationships with staff and ensure consistent merchandising and inventory levels for branded displays and sections. * Build trust with key decision makers and expand distribution of our portfolio by taking a consultative approach to their business. * Assist buyers with inventory management to expedite reorders, discover placement opportunities and be proactive with any issues. * Work cross-functionally with our internal teams to drive and support all marketing and sales initiatives. * Strategize with our key partners on promotional programming, merchandising and shelf space to increase brand awareness and sell thru. * Leverage CRM tool and provide detailed reports to sales leadership containing sales goals, forecasts and anticipated inventory needs. * Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales. * Ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts through in-store visits, using point of sale materials and displays when appropriate. * Participate in all team conference calls, training and attend all sales meetings. * Proactive planner - plans and documents daily, weekly, monthly activities. Works with the supervisor to plan, document and secure approval for personal time off, as all activities have a direct impact on the team and business needs. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - REQUIRED * 3+ years in a quota carrying field sales role * Strong cannabis industry knowledge required * Work in store and travel in territory 80% of the time with some overnight and/or weekend travel * Experience selling consumer products, pharmaceuticals or comparable experience in a consultative sales environment * Must be 21+ years old * Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays * Reliable transportation, driver's license and excellent driving record * Must be able to sit or stand for hours at a time * Must be able to lift/carry 30 pounds * Background check will be conducted after conditional offer of employment is extended PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements listed are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Regular and consistent driving and the ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week. * Physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull items weighing up to 20 pounds. * Drive for long periods of time. * Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills in English; * Interpret and follow a variety of instructions and procedures furnished in English - written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Write routine reports and correspondence. * Meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly and other deadlines and goals consistently. * Work under pressure with changing, ambiguous priorities. * Auditory and visual skills - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. * Ability to work overtime occasionally at the last minute. * Travel 50% of the time or above will be required.
