Global Wines Iowa specializes in the distribution of fine wines, dedicated to providing exceptional products and services to our clients. We specialize in curating a diverse portfolio of premium wines from around the world and delivering unparalleled customer experiences. Position Overview: This individual is passionate, innovative, and self-motivated with a business- oriented and customer-focused mindset. The Sales Representative's primary responsibilities are to visit the customer, have the right consultative sales conversations, and increase sales revenue. Face-to-face consultative selling built on trusting relationships drives maximum value to our customer and supplier partners as well. You will represent our company and promote our portfolio of wines to restaurants, bars, hotels, retail stores, and other venues within your assigned area. This position is listed as part time but provides opportunity to increase to full time at a later date if desired. Key Responsibilities: * Uphold company values and standards of professionalism in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. * Planning, executing strategy, and meeting or exceeding revenue, volume brand goals as set by leadership and direct management. * Demonstrating successful time management and self-motivation skills. * Organize and represent the company at industry events, trade shows, dinners, and tastings to promote brand awareness. * Growing the assigned territory with already established accounts, generating new accounts/new customers. Demonstrate the ability to follow assigned routes/visit assigned accounts on a consistent basis, as well as organize in-store tastings. * Identify and prospect new accounts while maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships. * Making a minimum of 6-8 account visits per day, 3-4 days per week, in-person at assigned accounts. 1 day per week admin work including but not limited to: sample sheets, sell sheets, call/email contact, schedule organization, order input. * Utilize all available software (primarily Vinosmith) and Company resources. * Building customer relationships with exceptional communication by but not limited to: Customer Service, Accounts Receivables, Operations, Industry Trend Education, and Information Technology with the objective of supporting customers in assigned territories. * Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, operations, and management to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. * Prepare and submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and other administrative documents as required. * Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory. * Significant travel by automobile can be expected in most territories. The Company will provide a route to make your sales days as efficient and impactful as possible. * Physical activity can include but not limited to: lifting cases weighing up to 45 pounds, building displays, merchandising, and/or replenishing stock in retail stores. Requirements: Equivalent combination of education and experience; a current and valid state driver's license, ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements, provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States and be able to successfully complete required I-9 form, pass required pre-employment drug and background screenings, minimum age requirement is 21 years. A successful candidate would need to meet these minimum requirements: * Minimum of 2 years sales or marketing experience in either on- or off- premise sales with proven wine knowledge. * High school graduate or GED diploma * Detail-oriented * Goal-oriented, self-motivated, solution minded, proactive, self-starter, and positive team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Prior experience in retail, restaurant, customer service, sales experience on the wholesale end of the industry is preferred, though not required.
