We are searching for a motivated sales associate to help customers and provide world-class service. Sales associates are critical to the overall operation of our retail stores. Associates are responsible for helping customers find furniture for their homes, track & place orders, maintain the decor, and zoning for their areas, process paperwork, manage web orders, and help with overarching sales initiatives. Furniture World is a family owned business for over 28 years. We are growing and seek motivated and hard working individuals to grow our future business. Qualifications * High School Degree or GED Equivalent (Some College Preferred) * 2 years of service experience with customers (sales, food service, etc) * Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook * Experienced furniture sales preferred, but not required Duties and Responsibilities * Ability to achieve aggressive sales goals and objectives * Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively * Ability to work unsupervised and a desire for high level of responsibility * Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal with customers * Ability to concentrate in the midst of a fast paced work environment * Attention to detail * Willingness to share department responsibilities to meet deadlines * Must be flexible to different personality types and work habits, knowing that goals may be achieved in different ways * Perform other related duties as assigned The working conditions for a sales associate are divided between time in an office with a desk and being out interacting with potential and current customers.
