Full description of the position

Overview:
Immediate Need for a Full Time Application Engineer
$60-75K
50% Travel

We are looking for a skilled Applications Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is able to collaborate with the sales team to secure business from prospective customers. You will determine the best methodologies for customers and enhance the experience with industrial machinery. You will also learn to troubleshoot our equipment and work with customers to optimize the usage of the machines.

Responsibilities
  • Support set up and operations of industrial equipment at trade shows
  • Build successful relationship with distributors
  • Increase sales by identifying customer opportunities
  • Machine demonstrations and process development
  • Create solutions for customers in addressing machine maintenance and applications
  • Develop and analyze customer needs and prepare demonstrations and reports for pre-sales

Qualifications
  • Technical degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years work experience
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D laser system
  • Analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Customer service and attention to details
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC programming skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to customers, trade shows and corporate events.
