Full description of the position

Vinnie Fera makes world class wine in Boulder, Colorado. We are looking for a Sommelier that is also a sales professional with experience buying, presenting, and selling wine.

Responsibilities

Make sales calls to and arrange tastings for stores, restaurants.

Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit for seeking out new accounts

Present wines in our new public tasting room

Present wine at events in the community

In conjunction with Owner and Winemaker, develop a sales and marketing approach that will succeed in a competitive sales environment

Follow-up regularly on all sales calls and referral sources

Cultivate and build relationships with new and existing customers while engendering satisfaction with service provided

Attend public wine events, industry networking events, and expos

Requirements
Sommelier degree of some type and level

Must be trained, accredited and have experience in evaluating and serving wine

Wine Distribution, Retail, and/or High-End Restaurant experience

Strong knowledge of and relationships within the Colorado/Front Range wine culture

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Strong time management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail

2 years wine sales experience

Bachelors Degree

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Valid driving license

Reliable transportation

Must be at least 21 years of age

Able to lift and carry 55 pounds

Eligible for a 15% performance based bonus
