Sencore is currently looking for a motivated sales representative for our Strategic Account Manager opening. This position will be responsible for driving sales revenue for their market segment and/or territory. Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in the MVPD market space and experience managing tier 1 accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve targeted sales volume for assigned territory and/or accounts while maintaining discounts defined in annual incentive program.
- Maintain and establish effective relationships with customers and channel partners at executive, administrative, and technical organizational levels necessary to accelerate revenue.
- Responsible for being self-directed and working independently to meet revenue goals.
- Handle majority of technical/application questions before and after the sale. Find answers to any technical/application questions you are unsure of.
- Obtaining and maintain a high degree of application/specification knowledge on Sencore and competitive products.
- Continue to stay educated in the industry by attending and participating in sales training sessions and/or any other technical update programs.
- Maintain current Account database, increasing and developing current and future accounts that have the potential to purchase Sencore products by adding new prospects/referrals each quarter.
- Manage the accounts/territory through CRM system including- weekly forecasts, documenting customer contact information and customer interactions.
- Attend tradeshows as required. Act as liaison and support all technical questions and product demonstrations.
- Manage, negotiate and provide necessary support to develop deal strategy closure.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science in technical field preferred or equivalent job experience. Five to seven years business sales experience and video delivery industry experience preferred.
Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of digital video broadcast and delivery technology, equipment and markets.
- Ability to develop, provide, present, and give effective sales presentations and technical training to customers and partners.
- Energetic, positive, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited supervision and exercise excellent business judgment and strategic sales capacity.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal team.
- Ability to multi-task and work under high volume situations.
