UNITED SIKHS is a U.N. affiliated, international non-profit, non-governmental, humanitarian relief, human development and advocacy organization, aimed at empowering those in need, especially disadvantaged and minority communities across the world.
Based in New York, you will be responsible for reaching out to the community and developing strong relationship with social leaders and community at large.

Description of Duties
- Independently develop opportunities to create awareness about the state programs
- Create a donor management program and device a recurring strategy to raise donations based on a tiered donors- Excellent writing and presentation skills to create recurring and non-recurring outreach programs and campaigns to existing, potential donors making the activities Business as usual.
- Create a team of donor managers, coordinators at the National level.
- Create a representational culture of managing donors and volunteers in all teams
- Tailor programs to meet the needs of the donors
- Develop Corporate Sponsors, come up with donor development plan and look and apply for grants to meet the budget
- Educate and Enhance teams at all levels to ensure philanthropy and fund development are carried out in keeping with the organizations values, mission, vision and plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, maintains accountability standards to donors and ensures compliance with code of ethical principles and standards of professional conduct for executives.
- Assure stability by creating a working environment that is rewarding to staff and volunteers.
- Foster a smoothly operating development function through timely and effective resolution of disruptions
- Provide excellent and timely customer service to external customers who request information including recent and past donations and other donor records
- Fulfill data and reporting requests, including the production of donor lists, regular progress reports and extractions of data from the database for analytical purpose on a monthly basis to the Board of Directors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor contact and biographical information- Design and execute data integrity projects including returned mail, address updates, merge and inactivation processes. Add gift information and donor correspondence to central files as needed .
- Participate in development of best practices and documentation and training of staff in maintaining accurate database records
- Assist in donor cultivation and stewardship events as needed

Professional Requirements
- Proficiency in or ability to learn and use Development software
- Cheerful, outgoing personality and great telephone presence
- Proficiency in creating and editing documents using Word and Excel and utilizing Outlook for electronic mail communications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Punjabi/Hindi speaking is a must
- Ability to gather, analyze and summarize information including numerical and financial data
- Strong people skills, as well as customer service and data entry experienc
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality of organizational and participant information

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
