The Sanctuary Hotel is an award-winning boutique hotel strategically located in New York Citys famous Midtown and Theater District. The hotel is an oasis of elegance and luxury and boasts 4 restaurants including a private dining room and 2 rooftop restaurants, sushi and American cuisine.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, organized, outgoing Senior Event Sales Manager responsible for booking private and corporate special events through soliciting new business, entertaining clients, and maintaining existing relationships.
In this role, you will oversee all event booking, sales outreach, planning, coordination and final execution, working directly with clients and key internal partners.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquire new business through applied selling strategy
- Cultivate existing client relationships
- Facilitate walk-throughs of event spaces with prospective clients and negotiate costs and event details
- Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients
- Organize, lead and motivate team members
- Manage reporting of sales pipeline, as well as monthly and annual forecasting
- Oversee event execution onsite while providing exceptional customer service to event guests and handle any issues that may arise
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in New York City events sales, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Demonstrated ability to generate sales leads, close deals and exceed sales targets
- Excellent management and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
- Existing leads in the NYC market a plus
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently without much supervision

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
