Full description of the position

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Warmly greets visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
• Provides potential tenants with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units.
• Ensures available and model apartments are fresh and tidy.
• Conducts background and credit checks and verifies other reference
• Consults with prospective tenants to identify requirements and budgets, then matches these needs with available apartments.
• Manages the leasing team to ensure they are fulfilling all needs for leasing out properties, in addition to ensuring they fulfill all paperwork for passing it along to the property management team
• Review and approve all leases from the leasing team; obtains signatures from management and tenants.
• Assists with recordkeeping, filing, bookkeeping, and paperwork as required.
• Develops and implements marketing strategies to attract renters.
• Listing current and predictable vacancies on all pertinent platforms.
• Scouting for prospective lessees.
• Prepares move-in materials.
• Creates, develops, and maintains a wait list as needed.
• Tours property daily to ensure it is neat, tidy, attractive, and in good repair.
• Manages use of shared facilities such as fitness and recreation areas, laundry facilities, and meeting or gathering spaces.
• Assists with drafting and signing legally sound and detailed lease agreements.
• Negotiating the updated features of applicable lease agreements.
• Creates, develops, and maintains a list of promotions and discounts.
• Develops and implements marketing strategies to attract renters.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Real estate sales license preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing and walking, giving tours, and meeting with potential tenants.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse a variety of properties with stairs and in a variety of weather.
• Must be able to work weekends and/or evenings on a rotating schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,331.98 - $60,000.00 per year
