Full description of the position

The Sales Manager will be responsible for executing an integrated marketing and business development strategy that leads to maximized revenue and profitability. Responsible for sales functions including communications between departments, point of sale, vendor training; hiring, training, management and retaining of sales personnel; maintaining relationships with customers and local leaders to strengthen the companys position in the community. Provide support and information necessary for the sales personnel to successfully complete their jobs. This position requires close daily interaction with diverse functions spanning Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

College degree preferred but may be substituted by (5-10 years of relevant sales and building industry experience.)

Minimum 5 years construction and building product sales experience.

Experience in the development and implementation of marketing and pricing policies.

Experience in customer relations and service.

Understanding of business law related to selling and marketing (i.e. contracts, consumer credit, promotion law, and anti-trust).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Relations: Responsible for deployment of programs and processes for the sale to current and potential customers. Aggressively pursues and manages ongoing relationships with customers to deliver outstanding products and services. Makes sales contacts with customers on a routine basis.

Sales: Forecast and develop annual sales plan for all product lines; develop pricing structure for all product lines; work with operations management to determine available inventory; provide sales quotes to both internal and external customers; monitor competitor activity; troubleshoot and problem solve with operations management on any issues that may inhibit sales potential and/or growth. Work with customer and internal QA/QC personnel on any quality issues.

Marketing: Develop marketing strategies to differentiate company products and services form the competitors; provide training or informational opportunities for customers to learn more about products and services; monitor customer and market trends and direct and supervise research and development.

Leadership/Management: Inform senior management of significant projects or sales opportunities; participate in general management meetings and activities as needed.

Other: Work with sister companies on projects as needed. Represent the company professionally at trade association meetings and conventions to promote products and services.

Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others. Must demonstrate integrity and a positive attitude in their work.

Ensure OSHA safety and environmental regulation compliance.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
