PROPERTY MANAGER

About the Role

As the Property Manager, you will drive performance in the end-to-end operations of an individual residential property site, or a group of sites, providing effective leadership to the on-site maintenance and administrative staff, engaging with residents to address and resolve their issues, ensuring operational targets are met and that the facility remains in compliance with government regulations and operating guidelines established by the building owner. Specifically, you will:

  • Demonstrate a positive and professional approach with tenants, clients, vendors, co-workers and the community.
  • Ensure that vacant rental units are prepared for re-rental quickly, and that vacancy rates remain ahead of target.
  • Assist in marketing the property by providing property tours for prospective new residents.
  • Deliver the operating budget for the facility, providing explanations of variation between budgeted and actual results.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective repairs to the facility by managing vendor relationships and performance.
  • Conduct audits of tenant files, ensuring that government filings for Section 8 housing assistance are timely and accurate.
  • Ensure a current and clean portfolio of past due rent balances, working with residents to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Educate the tenant population on property rules and regulations and ensure their compliance with them.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that help your property improve its performance and lower its cost.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years direct people leadership experience.
  • Experience as a site manager or high performing member of a property management team preferred. Will also consider candidates with experience managing restaurant and retail teams and operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and drive progress on multiple objectives at once.
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
