As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking a seasonal, passionate, and customer-oriented part-time, entry-level Jewelry Sales Associate to join our dynamic workforce for the busy season.

Position Summary:

As a full-time Jewelry Sales Associate, you will play a pivotal role in providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall success of our store. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for jewelry, exceptional communication skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow in the retail industry.

This position would be Sat-Wed (open to adjustment) 9:15am - 5:15pm.

Pay would start at $20/hr., and parking near the market is subsidized.

Health insurance is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Understand and anticipate customers' needs to provide timely assistance and personalized product recommendations.
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers by ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Product Knowledge:

• Learn and stay up-to-date on the features and details of our jewelry collections.
• Effectively communicate the unique selling points and benefits of each product to customers.
• Provide guidance on care and maintenance of jewelry items.

Sales and Upselling:

• Actively participate in sales activities.
• Identify upselling opportunities and educate customers on additional products or services.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the Clover point-of-sale system.

Visual Merchandising:

• Assist in maintaining a visually appealing and organized store layout.
• Collaborate with team members to create attractive displays.
• Ensure products are properly tagged and labeled.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
• Support colleagues during peak hours and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving.
• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Passion for jewelry and a keen interest in learning about gemstones, metals, and jewelry design.
• Interest in working at the Pike Place Market - a high-traffic tourist attraction and local market.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
