SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Strategic Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in alignment with the company's sheet metal fabrication capabilities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the customer base and achieve sales targets.
- Lead efforts to diversify and strengthen market presence, with a focus on both local and broader markets.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and lead the commercial, customer service, and after-sales teams.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Develop the skills and expertise of the team through training programs and mentorship.
Customer Service Management:
- Oversee the customer service team to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, acting as a point of escalation for customer concerns and inquiries.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Support:
- Provide support to the sales team by assisting in the development of sales strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between the sales, engineering, and production teams.
Project Management:
- Manage and drive project initiatives from conception to implementation, acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that project deliverables meet customer expectations in terms of quality and timelines.
- Act as a commercial representative for high-profile customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, marketing, and support teams to gain insights into customer needs and market trends.
- Work closely with the engineering team to align product features with customer requirements.
- Identify and address challenges in collaboration with different departments to improve overall customer satisfaction.
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify and solve problems related to customer service, sales, and project management.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the sales and customer service processes.
Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain clear and open communication channels with team members, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, customer service metrics, and project status to senior management.
Hands-on Engagement:
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and address any concerns or issues.
- Utilize hands-on skills to assess project requirements and provide practical insights to the team.
Travel:
- Be willing to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and address customer concerns.
EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE
- Proven track record of successful sales leadership in a sheet metal fabrication or related manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the sheet metal fabrication industry, including processes such as forming, punching, laser cutting, and assembly.
- Experience in electrical assembly and finished good sales and distribution as a service is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry trends, materials, and technologies.
- Strong experience collaborating with different departments, including operations, supply chain, engineering, and marketing, to achieve common business objectives.
- Track record of proactively identifying and solving problems related to customer service, sales, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to high-profile customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a diverse audience.
- Practical experience and hands-on skills in assessing project requirements and providing practical insights to the team.
- Management experience including a strong ability to prioritize, plan, organize and execute.
- Working in a technical or engineering environment
- Strong strategic and analytical skills
- Experience in relationship management including strong customer service orientation.
- Hands-on skills proficient with hand tools and electrical wiring standards to know the difference between good and bad workmanship.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Any combination of education and experience in project management a customer-facing role with the required skill and knowledge for successful performance in company growth.
- Bilingual Fluent in both English and Spanish, adeptly navigating the intricacies of business in both languages.
- Bachelors degree, preferably, Engineering or Business, from an accredited college or university.
- Five+ years of professional experience as a Sales Manager and/or any background in the sheet metal fabrication industry, including processes such as forming, punching, laser cutting, and assembly

The posted salary is based solely on the base salary, and for the Sales Manager position, commission will be paid in addition to the base salary.
