Intact Genomics has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, ambitious sales professionals. We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Manager/Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth by selling our molecular biology reagents and research tools and has the potential to lead the companys business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, proven sales leadership, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to increase sales by engaging in a high volume of emails, phone calls and meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our key accounts and strategic partners. Identify customer needs, provide solutions, gather customer feedback, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain a healthy and robust sales pipeline to ensure continuous sales growth and achievement of targets.
- Maintain and expand the customer database. Update the CRM frequently to proactively communicate with customers and manage relationships effectively.
- Host/attend table shows, conferences, meetings, and industry events. Make presentations of company products and services to potential customers.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics. Prepare sales data and progress reports. Regularly report on sales metrics, forecasts, and market trends to the executive team.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and individual performance. Lead, mentor, and inspire the team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Enhance productivity and effectiveness in the sales process including other sales-related activities (pricing, invoices, packaging and logistics, inventory management, and product tech support).
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- BA or BS degree in Marketing, or Life Science related field with a strong knowledge in Molecular Biology and 5+ years of sales or marketing experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or other life sciences industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in utilizing sales techniques, negotiation skills, and relationship-building to effectively engage with potential customers. Strong ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. Demonstrate skills in strategic planning and execution to achieve territory growth and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of customers and employees in a cordial, professional manner.
- Extraordinary attention to the customer and procedural detail, commitment to cultivating high-level relationships with customers to foster loyalty and trust.
- Highly organized and able to thrive in a busy, multi-tasking environment, with efficient time management skills, approaching tasks with a sense of urgency and able to prioritize them quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent computer literacy needed, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and digital marketing skills. Able to stay curious and adapt quickly to changing commercial realities.
- Familiarity with sales and CRM software tools (currently Zoho CRM).
- Results-focused, self-motivated, and have a strong hunter and winner mentality to acquire new customers.
