Full description of the position

Route Sales Representative - Shoe Mobile

Regular, Full Time

Buffalo, NY

TRAINING IS PROVIDED

Annual compensation: $65,000-75,000 Includes Commission.

Must be able to pass a DOT drug screen and physical.

Join the DiVal Safety Equipment team as a member of our fast paced and dynamic team. Shoe mobile sales representatives provide customers with the highest quality service in the sale of industrial shoes. The position focus is for the sales representative to travel directly to the customer and provide them with a truck stocked with the shoes/boots required for their needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Representing DiVal in a professional and friendly way in the field working directly with our customers. This includes, but not limited to answering questions, solving problems, and aiding.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure the safety of our clients. In addition, the driver is responsible for the mandatory vehicle inspection sheet and to report any potential problems/concerns directly to the manager.
  • At the conclusion of each scheduled visit, the sales representative will be required to restock the truck. After returning, the sales representative will make any necessary updates to the CRM.
  • Sales representative will be required to complete two inventories of the shoe truck per year.

Skills and Requirements -

  • Demonstrates mastery of skills in the areas of consultative selling, marketing principles, prospecting, networking, and negotiations.
  • Have a firm understanding of the competitive situation within your accounts, and within your territory.
  • Must be able to drive a 50 foot box truck.
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable vehicle record.
  • Excellent organizational skill.
  • Ability to travel overnight, 2-3 days per week.
  • Ability to be personable with customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills a must.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office products.
  • High School diploma / GED equivalent, college degree preferred.
