Overview:
Position Overview:
The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in expanding the dealership's inventory by actively prospecting outside the AutoNation Customer Network. Their primary responsibility involves engaging with private vehicle owners interested in selling their cars and scheduling appointments for onsite appraisals, facilitating the seamless "We'll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment" process.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate outbound calls/emails to prospects using prepared scripts to schedule appointments for vehicle acquisition.
- Implement consistent follow-up processes to address objections and secure appointments.
- Assess vehicle conditions and make offers using sound judgment and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Drive incremental business by engaging with customers and directing potential sales opportunities to the sales team.
- Collaborate with management to identify current inventory needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Preferably 1-3 years of sales experience.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, Saturdays, and some holidays.
- Proficient in computer usage, capable of handling various internet-based software programs.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Clear communication and understanding of speech and/or other sounds.
- Clarity of vision for close-up tasks, including computer use.
- Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods.
