Purpose
The Director of Development is hired by, and is directly accountable to, the President of Montini Catholic High School. This individual is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of an ongoing comprehensive development program that communicates the schools philosophy, mission, values, goals and achievements to its various stakeholders. Primary duties and responsibilities of the Director of Development are to supervise and oversee all aspects of the Annual Fund Drive, Development and Alumni events, Corporate/Foundation giving, and the Montini Catholic High School Website; to market the school for its image and financial resources; and to strive to involve others in support of the school through gifts of time, talents and financial resources.

Responsibilities
- Ensures that all development programs and fundraising practices reflect the Catholic and Lasallian mission of the school.
- Advises and assists the President, the Administrative Team, the Development Committee of the Board of Directors and various support organizations in establishing and maintaining an on-going program of institutional advancement that effectively markets the school for its image and resources.
- Establishes goals and objectives for the Development Team in consultation with the President, the Development Committee and members of the Development Staff.
- With the Development Committee and the Development Staff, prepares and presents to the President and Board a comprehensive annual development plan.
- Seeks always to position the President as the chief spokesperson for the school.
- Involves others in support of the school through contributions of time, talents and financial resources.
- Keeps abreast of current development practices, strategies and tools through professional reading and training.
- With the President and Development Committee of the Board, leads the annual evaluation and analysis of the results of the fundraising effort.
- Supervises all major fundraising activities including the Annual Fund Drive, the Maroon and Gold Gala, Champions Club, Planned Giving programs, Athletic Fundraising efforts, Foundation and Grant proposals and other special events.
- With assistance from the Development Staff, identifies, recruits, trains and supervises all volunteers associated with fundraising programs.
- Oversees and coordinates major gift initiatives and assists the President, Board members, Development Committee members and others in identifying and cultivating major donor prospects and soliciting gifts from them.
- With the President and Development Staff, designs, plans and coordinates periodic capital campaigns.
- Oversees the preparation of all fundraising support materials.
- Supervises acknowledgement of gifts and record keeping.
- Helps to coordinate other fundraising activities of the school.
- Supervises the Director of Alumni Relations in planning and conducting special alumni events.
- Oversees the updating and management of alumni in the development database.
- Works with the Director of Alumni Relations to identify potential large gift donors.
- With the Communications and Media Creator, the Social Media Coordinator, and the Website Manager, designs and implements a comprehensive communications and marketing plan that includes identifying the schools target markets and utilizing appropriate means to reach them.
- Coordinates a program of written, electronic and personal communications to reach leadership in the business, civic, professional and religious communities.
- Oversees the preparation and dissemination of the schools Annual Report.
- Evaluates all publications and communications materials printed and electronically produced by the Development office before dissemination.
- With assistance from the President, Development Committee and Business Manager, prepares and monitors the annual development budget.
- Coordinates the day-to-day financial management and deposit of fundraising proceeds with the Business Manager.
Represents the school at area business organization meetings and events (i.e., Chamber of Commerce).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
