Full description of the position

TRIP CHANGE SPECIALIST
This person must be comfortable working in systems (Softrip and Jira) and be detail-oriented to ensure there are no mistakes. This role is equal parts project coordination with an emphasis on data entry and processing.
In addition to communicating with other departments, this role will work closely with the rest of the Yield Management Team, Trip Development Team, and Hotel Operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete process steps of trip change
  • Audit, organize, and follow up on outstanding trip changes
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Vet & submit requests to convert trips to meet trip demand
  • Address miscellaneous Yield team tasks as they arise, including systems troubleshooting, monitoring reports, and other ad hoc projects

  • Systems Oriented able to work in multiple technology platforms. JIRA Experience is a bonus
  • Organized - Youre an efficient time manager and can work effectively and remain focused.
  • Strong Communicator - You will have extensive correspondence that relies on you being conversant in our systems, timelines, guidelines, and terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Problem-Solver - As an action-oriented self-starter, youre eager to apply your expertise in diagnosing inefficiencies, determining root causes, and recommending solutions to complex challenges.
  • Personable - You establish and nurture highly effective relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders that support and advance project goals and objectives.
  • Credible - Ability to quickly develop a thorough understanding of Backroads business timelines and provide administrative support, you quickly establish credibility as a reliable resource.
  • Adaptable - Aptitude for technology including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft365, Excel, Word, and Outlook, Teams, and comfortable learning new, complex systems.

Salary Ranges:
$28.00 - $36.00
At Backroads, we uphold a commitment to transparency and fairness within our hiring process, particularly regarding compensation. The salary range posted for each role applies to both employment offers and employees actively working in the role.
New hires are typically offered a starting salary between the minimum and midpoint of the range to ensure there is continued opportunity for salary progression during your employment at Backroads, reflecting our commitment to rewarding ongoing dedication, high performance, and significant contributions to our team. This approach not only supports our budgeting strategy but also our intention to foster an environment that encourages long-term growth and strong relationships between Backroads and our valued employees.
Our office roles are onsite in our Berkeley headquarters, unless specifically noted as 'available for remote'. We do allow one work-from-home day a week, as well as one work-from-anywhere week per year. This pay range is intended for in-person work in our Berkeley, CA headquarters. Pay ranges for remote-eligible roles will be subject to adjustment based on the geolocation of the employee.
