DAY-TO-DAY AS A WORK COMP DEPARTMENT MANAGER

As the Full Time Work Comp Department Manager at iBusinessSolutions, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our work comp department staff, active and future policies, and client/carrier relations. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding the team towards operational excellence and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Able to to maintain oversight, supervision, and training of all staff in the department.
  • Skilled in the ability to maintain consistent communication through our in-house systems and one-on-ones.
  • Can manage/oversee all workflow and oversee all New and Renewal business.
  • Will be able to maintain good relationships with our vendors and key clients.
  • Has visionary goals of the department needs, considering current and future growth, current and future staffing, and current and future needs of the clients.
  • Capable of overseeing activities and managing suspense notes to ensure accurate and up-to-date information in client files.
  • Can work directly with Sales Executives to keep them informed with all changes that directly impact them, including New Market Appetites, Submission changes, Laws, and establishes and assists in Quarterly meetings with top accounts.
  • Can establish and manage Commission rates and contingencies to the best scenario for the agency.
  • Capable of facilitating safety meetings with specific accounts that warrant it and understands the underwriting requirements and availability of the various markets.
  • Able to maintain oversight of the quoting process using the various insurance software programs, as well as our pay-as-you-go program to ensure accurate collection and reporting of premiums and payroll data.
