OVERVIEW
The Catering Sales Coordinator supports the catering sales office and banquet operations. They enhance functionality across departments and increase administrative efficiency.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a liaison between catering sales and banquet operations, coordinating work between departments, daily communication, and in-house meetings. Coordinate in-house events with participating departments
- Provide sales office reception and handle incoming leads from phone calls, email inquiries, or referrals
- Perform administrative tasks such as word processing, spreadsheet management, maintaining catering department files, distributing daily Event Sheets, and making Banquet Event Order (BEO) changes
- Work with clients regarding changes to events or event timelines
- Complete event reports and post-event files; submit event invoices and receipts
- Perform daily financial reconciliation for all events and send event invoices; handle client billing and payment
- Take/update reservations, manage confirmations, and function as host for several annual events
- Assist at events/trade shows as needed
- Other tasks as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years of successful experience in an administrative capacity; food & beverage industry experience preferred.
- High School Diploma required
- Washington State Food Handlers Permit
- Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset
PAY INFORMATION
- Pay range: $25 - $27/hour
