The Role
The Sales Analyst serves as owner of Data and Analytics to support the International Sales Team focusing on the Canadian business. This role provides the Director and International sales team with total business analysis and insights geared towards both driving top line and bottom-line growth. The role responsibility includes but is not limited to Walmart Canada, Loblaws, Sobeys, SDM along with providing analysis for forecasting updates for the Costco International business. In this position, you are the key support for the Director and customer leads. You are a critical link between Sales, Category Management, and Supply Chain to build business reviews that share results on objectives, provide actionable insights, and drive to deliver against company and business objectives.
This role will work on high impact initiatives and data analysis for Business Reviews and reporting (internally & externally facing) Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Customer data systems to build actionable insights is fundamental, and will require an individual with strong organization skills in addition to technical proficiency.

The expected pay scale for this role is $95k to $105k (CAN), which may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic area (if applicable), and internal equity for the role

Canada FDM Accounts Business Reporting and Analysis: 50% of Time
- IRI/Nielsen/Numerator / Retail Link reporting and analysis to provide insights.
- View Premier Nutrition from a portfolio perspective as well as a customer perspective to drive strategic areas of focus to drive the business.
- Collaborate with HQ Insights Team for macro level insights and that can apply at a customer level
- Provide newsworthy category and consumer trend data for customer updates.
- Prepare reports, presentations and/or manuals for various meetings.
- Manage the new item setup process and track and analyze new item introductions.
- Leverage research tools / analysis to create actionable insights that deliver against
retail opportunities, distribution, assortment, category, and customer trends - Create tools to help understand trend and consumption within total category
(PNC and competition) - Maintain price value audits for customer reporting and internal channel management.
Business Reviews: 25% of Time
- Collaboration with the Customer leads and Director to build data driven Business Reviews
- Analysis and insights on overall PNC portfolio
- Collaborate with Sales Planning/ Category Management team, to help develop customer specific category selling stories.
Ad Hoc Support: 25% of Time
- Aligning with Director of Sales on Special Projects driven by Premier Nutrition objectives
What are we looking for?
Education:
- Bachelors degree or equivilent experience
Experience:
- Min 3+ yrs. of relevant experience within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
- Experience with Costco / WM /Food & Drug channel accounts
Skills:
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel, IRI, Nielsen skills
- Strong navigational skills within customer portals
- Understanding of Syndicated data and familiarity with the tools
- Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships both internally and externally
- Independent, self-driven individual with the ability to build vs. manage
- Creative with a desire for continuous improvement
