Do you admire the look of a fine old building? Heritage Window Solutions is a local, growing, specialty contracting company focused on the restoration and protection of historic windows and doors. We are seeking a full-time Project Estimator trainee to join our team.

The mature Project Estimator is responsible for evaluating the condition of solid wood windows and doors, working with clients to form a plan for their project, estimating costs and making proposals. Estimators regularly travel to visit old homes and buildings to meet with potential clients on-site. These buildings are from another time and often include architectural features that have survived centuries because they were built to last. Get to know the secrets of how this was done.

We create estimates to propose a variety of window and door related services. Work environment is slow-paced, friendly, mostly quiet, and collaborative with regular opportunities to visit historic homes, commercial buildings. Wooden windows that have suffered some neglect become targets for replacement window salespeople. Property owners seeking alternatives to replacement find us ready to help, so that they may keep the beauty of these original elements of design and often, at the same time, gain a more comfortable building with less maintenance. We have been adding real value to homes and commercial buildings for 20 years. In our work, we strive always toward the "highest form of the art". We have a great team of restoration professionals.

This is an entry level position which has elements of project cost estimating, customer service, consultation, and marketing. We have an experienced team who will train the willing applicant in these skills.

Job duties include:
-Speak with potential clients about their projects over the phone
-Meet with qualified prospects
-Explain our services
-Estimate, prepare, and review project proposals with clients
-Record and submit accurate details to our field/shop operations managers
-Collaborate with other team members

Schedule:
-40-hour workweek
-Mon - Fri, occasional weekends
-Day shift
-One primary location with some regular travel

Requirements/Skills Needed:
-Maintain professional and well-mannered, verbal and written communication with clients
-Must be fluent in English
-Diligence in asking qualifying questions and taking accurate notes
-Typing 40 wpm and possesses computer navigation skills
-Familiarity with business email format/etiquette
-Familiarity with Microsoft Excel/Word
-High school diploma or equivalent

*College degree, interest in architecture, and woodworking background a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
