We specialize in providing custom-made POC research production and in vivo testing, IND-enabling CMC process development, and GMP clinical and commercial manufacturing to rapidly deliver affordable plasmid, viral vector (AAV, LVV), oncolytic virus, mRNA-based gene therapy, and cell therapies. The Business Development Manager will generate and develop customer lead for OBiOs CRO/CDMO service. The job responsibilities include,

  • Generate, prospect, and validate leads through personal network, emails, calls, meetings (online or in person)
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential customers, key decision-makers, soliciting new customers, building rapport, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information and explanations
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying business opportunities
  • Share customer need and customer feedback with BD team, participate in proposal development and quotation with internal technical support
  • Manage client expectation and participate in negotiation
  • Work together with marketing, technical support to ensure all possible actions are taken to secure business in competitive situations
  • Timely reporting to VP of BD including documentation of sales activities via CRM system
  • Build a business reference network for business expansion
  • Develops accounts by checking customers pipeline development and out-sourcing need, suggesting solutions and explaining technical features
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities, independently demo company capabilities in needed situation
  • Travel to attend events and client visits required (50%)

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • Bachelor or masters degree in a life science or business
  • At least 2 year of hands-on sales/or sale management experience.
  • Familiar with CRO/CDMO service
  • Familiar with Gene and Cell therapy is considered an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
  • Experienced with CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Ability to work independently and within a team and drive to succeed in an international business environment
