Full description of the position

For over 88 years, we have worked to create trusting relationships with our fire family. The bonds we build are the foundation of our credit union. As the largest, exclusive firefighter credit union in the nation with $2.0B in assets, we serve over 64,000 members in more than 1,000 fire departments.

Currently, we have an immediate opening for Personal Service Manager (Business Development Manager) to oversee our members (and potential members) in and around the Fort Lauderdale/ West Palm Beach, FL area. This person is responsible for outside sales of FFCUs products and services, building and maintaining the membership base and revenue, and promoting FFCUs brand through fire station visits and attending firefighter related events.

Typical responsibilities:

  • Pursuing business relationships and working closely with key business contacts to grow membership and increase revenue.
  • Identifying, coordinating, and overseeing public relations opportunities.
  • Recommending FFCU financial products and services to members to meet individual consumer needs.
  • Traveling up to 80% of the time or as needed to visit fire stations and unions, attend community events, attend meetings, conferences, training, or other work-related events.
  • Must maintain a current state drivers license from the state of primary work location and company insurance requirements.
  • May work evenings and weekends.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with outside sales.
  • Experience with public relations.
