Full description of the position

Atlantic Fish & Seafood is looking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to focus on generating new business opportunities to support the sales funnel. SDRs drive demand for the companys products in a variety of ways, including new lead generation, qualifying targeted leads or leads that have been generated by marketing. Working with sales leaders, marketing, and Production management, you will learn to create new opportunities that allow our Account Executives to cultivate business to achieve individual and/or team specific goals. Through this role, Atlantic Fish & Seafoods goal is to recruit and train the next generation of sales and marketing professionals. Your success will lead you to a career in outside sales or other roles at the company.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new customers through lead generation campaigns, trade shows, and cold calling.
• Respond to inbound web inquiries and help improve sales efficiency and effectiveness targets.
• Qualify marketing and sales leads and support prospecting initiatives and marketing campaigns.
• Use existing and emerging social media tools to monitor targeted accounts and prospects and identify trigger events for follow-up.
• Achieve or exceed monthly targets and quota of qualified opportunities.
• Leverage internal resources to develop and expand your lead qualification skills.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to sales and marketing meetings on calling efforts to advance the sales cycle.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competition.
• Work directly with Account Executives and Sales Managers to strategize on targeted high volume outreach efforts.
• Partner with Marketing on conceptualization and implementation on a range of inbound and outbound campaigns such as email, direct mail, and lead nurturing.
• Effectively communicate Atlantic Fish & Seafoods value proposition.
• Create and maintain weekly forecasts that track and measure lead qualification metrics.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree preferred and 2 years of experience (or equivalent experience) with one year in a customer facing role (Sales or Customer Service).
• Creative, self-starter, and be willing to do what it takes to succeed.
• Must be customer focused and highly responsive.
• Solid on the phone - great people skills are a must.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability work cooperatively as a team member and be able to interact with all levels of employees.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral.
• Working Knowledge of computers and MS Office.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Tenacity to weather the multiple nos you will hear before hearing a yes.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in fast-paced, disciplined, process-driven, sales and/or marketing environment.
• Highly coachable with a strong willingness to learn.
• Active listening to assess prospect needs and opportunities.
• Experience working with CRM and other marketing automation tools.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Completion of sales skills and/or phone skills training is preferred.
• Passionate desire to move up within a sales organization.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
